Springfield, New Jersey, December 24, 2009

Donald Toresco, President & CEO of Autoland was recently deeply moved by an article he read in the Star Ledger.  Frank Bruno, the Somerset County Surrogate, has been collecting gift cards, calling cards, and iTunes cards to give to soldiers in the amputee wards at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in Washington for several years.  This year he was disappointed at the devastating level of donations.

Despite the turn in the economy, Autoland in Springfield, NJ still had a successful 2009.  As a Vietnam Veteran himself, Donald M. Toresco has always had a lot of compassion for our GI’s and veterans.  He decided to give sixty phone cards to Bruno for the soldiers in Washington to show his appreciation of the sacrifice of our veterans. Thanks to his contribution, Bruno will now have something to give to the soldiers this year as well.

“Our veterans have always stepped us for us and I felt it was our patriotic duty to step up for them and offer them any support we can, especially this holiday season,” states Mr. Toresco.
